Under Hidalgo the Terrors have amassed a record of 32-9 (78%) including a playoff record of 8-3 (72%). Making the quarterfinals in each of their first three seasons, including a state championship appearance in 2015, Glynn has established itself as a perennial power in the state.
Frederica Knights 2017 Preview
TheSouthernSportsEdition.com news services
Frederica Academy saw their season end last year in the second round of the playoffs against Deerfield Windsor. The Knights have improved the last two seasons in the win column.
Two years ago they went 7-4 and last year that went 9-2. I don’t see the trend stopping this year.
Head coach Brandon Derrick’s Knights are a little more dialed in this year. They could make a lot of noise in the next few months.

The eyes of the college football world were glued to their collective phone screens this past Tuesday. Multiple Facebook Live streams showed a podium centered in the cafeteria of Scotland High in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
A crowd, made up of coaches, teachers, family, and ever present media members gathered near the podium. Zamir White, the nation’s number one back was set to announce where he would be spending his college years. Dressed in a black suit, with a small red boutonniere attached to his left lapel, White waited patiently for his moment.
Dwight Howard Trade Perfect For Charlotte Hornets
TheSouthernSportsEdition.com news services
Normally there are only a few times where you pay an athlete in excess of $20 million when he or she is on the downside of their prime, playing for their fourth team in five years, at a position that has almost become obsolete.
Either they are the local hero ending their career in front of the hometown fans; they are the last piece to what could become a championship team; or the player has photos of the team’s General Manager in compromising situations and is blackmailing their way into a lucrative contract.
Since none of those things seem to apply to Dwight Howard being traded to the Hornets (Rich Cho does happen to live a fairly private life though), it’s a little odd that I like this trade as much as I do.
